More Downside Ahead for Solar - Barclay's
The timing of the downgrade on STP is hillarious! Its down 75% in 2 months and now you tell us there is a financing problem for the next 2 quarters? What about demand past that? What about Obama energy plan? We should rate Vishal timing as crappy!

LDK Solar Has Caught My Attention
i agree and like the concept of a PEG .11 how on earth is the valuation set so low? Maybe there is perception LDK's operates in the heavily commoditized part of the solar supply chain?

i agree prices are low-ish and the US market might be 8x larger then the largest .... Spain. Democrats might get the ball rolling. A US feed tariff would be stellar.

Solar Stocks Are Now Attractive Again
the silicion ingot upstarts that are suppose to flood the market next year are reported undercapitolized and thus may not be able to spike production next year crimping LDK & STP production ambitions- per FBR yesterday.

Exactech: Buy Now, or Wait for Earnings?
Well the nasty index decline brought the stock down so much the breakout gains that began last October 2007 were wiped out. The 3rd quarter preannounce was Ok relative to the big price decline of almost 50% and i bought some shares for $18 on wednesday. Interestingly the shares sell for about 1 times sales while the big players sell for about 4 to 5 times sales. Why cant Exactech sellout for 2 times sales and everybody wins?

Chipotle Mexican Grill: Too Hot To Handle?
the company raises price in about 25% of markets annually within a rotating 4 year plan. they raise the price about once every four years per market. But with commodities rising so much within the 4 year parameter this plan doesnt keep up. The short interest on the A shares is posted as 35%, but the short interest in the B shares is tiny. on friday B shares were at an amazing 20% discount. On Friday Chipotle's is taking more steps to change sluggish results advertising.

Has the Sun Set on Solar Energy Stocks?
these stocks had a good run in august on earnings beats, raised guidance, and analyst upgrades. some of them climbed 30% to 40%. Its normal for them to cool off for a few weeks. The question is will there be a second leg up off the lows? The valuations are modest enough to justify more gains in coming months, complicated by the fact the market is in a bear market and the low valuation ones are Chinese rather then ordinary american growth stocks.

Ride Out the Recession with Activision Blizzard
The online factor might be a serious growth catalyst going forward. I have been studying Guitar Hero and it looks like this franchise is multiplying. The Aerosmith title has sold better then the aerosmith CDs, and this coming Friday Activision will release the new Metallica tracks on the game platform on the same day the new music album itself is debuted. Prez. Bobby says there is a shortage of GH material to meet the demand for the next 5 years! Activision claims to have superior brand managment and might apply these skills to polish up Blizzard's portfolio. Also, Vivendi has been buying more then $3 million worth of ATVI stock a day since last tuesday, and last week on Bloomberg TV the prez of Vivendi bragged about how well A-B is positioned for the long term, but this piece was edited from the bloomberg.com interview clip. And finally Activision has reached the scale, $5 Billion-ish that everyone had hoped ERTS would but never did. FOr the first time an independent publisher will be larger then any of the inhouse software divisions of Nintendo, Sony, and MSFT. the ramifications of this milestone i am not exactly sure,
but it has been a big deal to many ERTS dreamers.
