Speculators Bigger Players in Futures, Options Markets Than Thought
How could anyone not know that speculators exert a profound and destructive influence over futures prices.

Humpty Stearns Can't Go Back on the Wall
Bear Stearns probably had management that graduated from the same schools as AIG, AXP, BAC, C, JPM, and a host of others. One shudders when one considers the magnitude of incompetence in the financial sector.

The Globalization Boom and Bust Cycle
The more mortal blows that are dealt to globalization the better. Free trade does not exist. Globalization is little more than the exportation of American jobs and the importation of cheap, shoddy goods.

The US Dollar Elevator is Going Up!
Wow! Minimum wage laws are bad. What we really need is maximum wage laws for incompetent CEOs. If business paid its workers decent wages we would not have minimum wage laws. If CEOs and other executives were paid what they were really worth there would be much more available for the work force; higher wages, increased spending, increased taxes, decreased deficits. I am now checking in to the nearest institution for the mentally deficient.

      Slack Labor Market in Pictures
What is the unemployment rate for CEOs? It seems to me that their compensation should decline every time they cut a job. Let them take a 1% pay cut for every 1% they cut their labor force, and a 2% cut for jobs sent to a country with slave labor, sweatshops, or that is engaged in environmental degradation.

Is This a Recession? Wrong Question.
The only cure for our economic woes is to make the Bush tax cuts permanent. John McBush is my boy to do that.

      Delusions of Debt
Moral and fiduciary corruption reign supreme. I think we can cure it all by passing the George W. Bush repeal of the inheritance (death) tax, and lowering capital gains taxes for only the wealthy.

I'm not an expert in these matters, but it seems from what I have been reading lately that the SEC ought to enforce their rules, and do so vigorously.

WOW!! Such controversy. Whether or not we are facing global warming, adding CO2 to the atmosphere is not helping the planet or the future of our species. We need to reduce CO2 emissions or learn to photosynthesize it ourselves.
