Is There More Trouble Brewing in China?
"You can't be building new toy factories while other ones are being shut down."

Which is why new investment will be focused on infrastructure and housing. This article is big on generalities and opinion but sorely lacking in rigorous analysis.

A Lot to Be Thankful for, Despite It All
Worst year for me in a very long time, but I have good health, much love in my life, and a standard of living that would be the envy of 99% of the people on this planet. That's enough to make me wealthy beyond measure and thankful once again for the many blessings in my life.

Trina Solar Looks Good, Though Market Yawns
I own TSL also. My concern is whether projects supplied by the company are backed by sufficient capital. I would hope the company is making inquiries of its customers in this regard, and I would like reassurance on this issue from management if possible.

Trying to Make Sense of Cramer's Advice
Entertainment? Maybe for a 3-year-old who loves frenetic clowns who make a lot of noise. I can't stand the arrogant ass.

Solar Gets What They Want, But Stocks Still Suffer
The fingerprints of Obama (second only to Dodd as a recipient of campaign contributions from Freddie and Fannie) are all over this affirmative-action housing debacle. Community organizer = radical agitator (see ACORN). McCain co-sponsored legislation to rein in the two GSEs but Dems were solid in their "hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil" support of F&F. (Not that any of this has relevance to the subject article.)

      The VIX and V-Shaped Bottoms
Excellent article notwithstanding notation issues. Good to know, from the negative reactions, that there are enough non-objective emoters out there to confirm the likelihood of a major bottom.

      Why I'm Closing Atwood Oceanics
I understand the frustration, but selling a deeply undervalued stock at a time when it is deeply oversold is not sound trading. It's love turning to hate at exactly the wrong time. It didn't take a year to make the move look bad, only a couple of days.

      Why Don't Earnings Matter Anymore?
Agree fully with the thesis of the original article and with most of the comments. Eventually, value will prevail. Between de-leveraging of hedge funds who had loaded up on these stocks when they were momentum favorites, and speculators trading into oversold rallies by sectors that face long-term secular problems, GARP investors have suffered unwarranted damage lately. But strong and highly visible earnings growth combined with p/e expansion will make these stocks huge winners 12 months out.

Just a Commodities Correction - Not the End of the Bull (Part 2)
Excellent article, and your decision to buy oil service stocks now should be successful regardless of the direction of oil prices for the foreseeable future. China is likely to be very cautious about reducing subsidies for gasoline considering that its primary focus is now promoting growth.

With Help from California, Solar Gets Fired Up
SOL is a major holding of mine along with TSL and YGE. Also have stakes in SPWR (through CY) and CSIQ. Have owned SOLF in the past and probably will again. California is leading a trend in energy generation that will increasingly be embraced across this nation (and the world).

Chinese Hegemonic Effect Overtakes U.S.? Not So Fast
I would argue that the economic miracle in China is based more on their discovery of market forces than on their suppression of certain market forces, though I don't dispute the general conclusions of your analysis. I would also argue that the U.S. has peaked as a world power resulting from decades of instant gratification and trends of political thought that have the US moving in the direction of destructive socialism at the same time that so many countries are moving in the opposite and very positive direction of increased respect for free markets.
