Save on Halloween Costumes
It's Halloween time; time for your kids to wander around the neighborhood asking neighbors for candy while wearing an elaborate costume that he or she will have outgrown by this time next year. The good news is that costumes don't have to be super-expensive. Here are a couple of money-saving suggestions for Halloween costumes.
1) Borrow a costume. Do you have any friends with children just a little bit bigger than yours? See if they have a costume leftover from last year. Since their kid probably also only wore his or her costume once, the costume will probably be in good shape.
2) Make your own costume. The internet is bursting with ideas for cheap and easy costumes of everything from characters from the Wizard of Oz to animals to witches.
3) There are many discount costume stores online. Wal-mart, Target and K-mart offer savings both online and in their stores. Zoogster Costumes features a "Cheap Halloween Costumes" section with costumes for all sizes that are under $20.

These columns are so common-sense as to be useless... I mean, is there anyone out there who didn't think of these "tips" on their own? "Make your own costume"?? I mean, duh.
