Sell Backend Products
Many internet businesses make the mistake of selling only one product. You can generate a lot of revenue by selling backend products. These are simply products that you can offer to existing customers after they have made a purchase. Adding backend products can increase revenue by 30 to 50 percent. Here's why.
It is much easier to make a sale to customers who have already bought from you than to find new customers. Existing customers trust you and your site and are happy with the level of service.
You also know what old customers like. You can guess their taste by their previous purchases, make suggestions and send customers offers accordingly.
However, if you only sell one product, your customers will only be one time patrons, particularly if you sell a product that does not need to be repurchased. If you do not sell backend products, you will have to continuously find new customers instead of generating more revenue from old ones.
