Exercise at Your Hotel
Exercising at regular times during the week is extremely healthy. Many people belong to clubs or gyms, use exercise equipment in their homes, jog or play sports. Traveling frequently for business can put a damper on those well-intentioned exercise plans. Here are some tips on how to keep up your fitness regimen while on the go.
1) Many hotels have on-site fitness facilities. Some even have personal trainers available. Smaller hotels often have agreements with local health clubs, or you can find a nearby gym and pay a small fee to use its facilities. If you belong to a club, ask if your program grants visiting privileges at other locations.
2) Bring exercise videos, and workout in your room. You can also bring portable exercise equipment like collapsible hand weights that fill with water, elastic bands or any of these.
3) BlueSuitMom.com recommends push ups and tricep dips off of a chair to exercise your chest triceps and shoulders, squats, lunges and calf rises for the lower body, and crunches and reverse curls for the abdominal muscles.
4) If your issue is time, you can walk to appointments or around convention centers, use the stairs instead of the elevator, or stretch or walk during breaks.
