Beat Jetlag
Jet lag is a necessary evil of traveling and nearly all of us (94 percent) get it. Here’s how to prevent it or at least lessen its effects.
1) Get a good night’s sleep the night before you travel. Don’t try to beat jet lag by staying up all night beforehand. Instead, try going to sleep an hour earlier every night a couple of days before you leave to lessen the shock of the time difference.
2) Don’t stress. Leave yourself plenty of time to get to the airport.
3) Stay hydrated. Drink a lot of water and juice both before you leave and on the flight. Avoid caffeine and alcohol; they both play with your circadian rhythm and leave you dehydrated.
4) Exercise on the flight. Stretch. Walk around. Wiggle your toes. Squeeze a ball. These actions will help your circulation.
5) On the flight, try to stay awake or go to sleep with the time of day at your destination. Use earplugs, sleep masks and night pillows to help you sleep, and avoid the urge to nap when you reach your destination.

Exercise can make a big difference during the first day or two of arrival. Get a good sweat by going for half hour run, swimming or ride a bike.
