Get an Airfare Deal
We've been spending a lot of time looking for airfare deals, but I think we've found another one that's the real deal.
Skybus has been getting the press, but we've signed up for the email newsletter from Spirit Airlines, and we're seeing some real deals.
For Floridians, Spirit has a series of great deals, with intra-state travel (including Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Tampa, at $29 (not counting taxes and fees).
Last week we saw $48 roundtrips from Atlanta to Orlando, and Atlantic City (within striking distance of metro New York) to Myrtle Beach (perfect for a golf weekend).
Also available was LaGuardia in New York to Detroit, Fort Lauderdale or Myrtle Beach for $48 each way.
As usual with fares like this, they don't come every day, seats are limited, and destinations may require some creativity or flexibility.
But, for the moment, we are leaning to Spirit Air over Skybus for its broader set of destinations and aggressive promotions.

I would use www.sidestep.com or www.kayak.com or www.farecast.com to find the cheap flights and they usuall reprice on a tuesday or a wednesday.
