Saving on PrescriptionsMost of us know that using generic drugs to fill a prescription can be much less expensive than buying a brand name drug. However, did you know that different pharmacies may charge far different prices for the same medicine? A good tip is to call a few of the major pharmacies in your area to see what they charge for your specific prescription.

Another good idea is to investigate mail-order pharmacies for regular (i.e., monthly) drug prescriptions. They often charge lower prices than your neighborhood pharmacy and the drugs arrive in the mail without the hassle of picking them up.
